ATTENTION FEDERAL CONTRACTORS

On September 9th, the President issued Executive Order 14042, which applies new rules – including vaccination mandates – to federal contractors. As a Federal Contractor it is critical that you follow the guidance presented in the link below. XcelHR is here to support you in this process and please reach out to your HR representative for additional guidance.

  • This federal contractor mandate does NOT include a weekly testing option, and therefore is a true vaccination mandate.
  • The Guidance requires covered employees to be fully vaccinated by December 8, 2021.
  • Covered contractors are required to, for the duration of the contract, comply with all Task Force Guidance for contractor or subcontractor workplace locations.

Steps you need to take to be in compliance with the Executive Order 14042

  • 1

Survey of your current work staff – who is vaccinated, who started the vaccination process and who is not vaccinated and willing/not willing to get vaccinated. Review requests for Religious Accommodation, and Disability requests.

  • 2

Create a COVID policy – You can reach out to your HR representative at XcelHR, and we can help you create a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.

  • 3

Designate an Implementation Coordinator who is responsible for overseeing the compliance and implementation of the Executive Order 14042

  • 4

Review disciplinary actions for the employees who are not in compliance. Termination, lay off etc.
